Three businesses in Shenyang won the title of “2017 National-level Green Factory”, according to information from Shenyang Industry and Informatization Commission.

BMW Brilliance Automobile Co, Shenyang Blower (Group) Co and Shenyang Aerospace Mitsubishi Motors Engine Manufacturing Co are the first batch of businesses in Shenyang to win the title.

“Green Factory” is a new concept proposed by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology in 2017. It attaches great importance to green production, in line with China’s strategy to establish a green manufacturing system.

The concept should meet requirements from seven aspects: infrastructure, management systems, products, energy consumption, emissions, profits and other basic requirements.

“Green development is the top priority of Shenyang’s businesses in the manufacturing sector,” said an official from Shenyang Industry and Informatization Commission.

In recent years, Shenyang is making efforts to push forward the transformation and upgrading of industries. A green manufacturing system is gradually taking shape.

The next step for Shenyang is to share the experience of Shenyang’s green factories, encouraging more businesses to take the green development model.
