The 16th China International Equipment Manufacturing Exposition and the third China (Shenyang) International Robots Exhibition was held atin Shenyang International Exhibition Center, on Sept 1, 2017.

The opening ceremony was attended by Jiang Youwei, mayor of Shenyang government; Lin Xiaogang, deputy secretary general of Liaoning Provincial Government, and Luo Min, director at the Center for Industrial Development of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.

Other attendees at the ceremony included Erfa Iqbal, commercial councilor of Pakistan’s embassy in Chinafrom the Pakistani embassy; Ishizuka Hideki, consul-general of the Japanese embassy consulate in Shenyang, and Lee Kyoung Dock, consul-general of the Republic of Korea’s consulateembassy in Shenyang, as well as other executives from some various companies.

The exposition covereds an area of 110,000 square meters, attracting 865 foreign and domestic companies to the event. The number of foreign companies isA total of 251 foreign companies were in attendance, accounting for 29 percent of the total.

Foreign The foreign companies arecompanies in attendance were from 16 countries and regions includingsuch as the United StatesSA, the UK, Germany, Italy, Sweden, Japan, and Taiwan and the United Kingdom, while domestic companies cover came from almostnearly 20 provinces and cities.

The exposition providedprovides 1,314 booths for foreign and foreign-funded companies, accounting for 33 percent of the total.

A total of 61 companies listed on theon Fortune Global 500, 12 world-famous machine tool companies and 40 national prominent national manufacturing companies have also signedalso attendedup for the exhibition.

An estimated of 160,000 visitors , and and 110,000 professionals also as well as purchasing agents will come forattended the exposition.

The China International Equipment Manufacturing Exposition is designed as a large trading event, and which is approved by the State Council. With the support of the Ministry of Commerce, National Development and Reform Commission, Ministry of Science and Technology, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and Liaoning Provincial Government, the exposition is held by the Shenyang government.

The event has been held for the past 15 years and in Shenyang since the first one in 2002, and it is set to sttakes placeart from Sept 1 to 5 each year.in every year.

Various categories of products such as numerically-controlled machine tools, industrial automatic equipment, new energy automobiles, industrial robots, 3-D printing and energy-saving equipment, will be showcased at this year’s exposition.

During the exposition, an exhibition will also be held to display how defense technology is transformed for civil use by exhibiting technological products in aviation, aerospace, military communication, emergency rescue, Beidou navigation, anti-terrorism and new materials.
