Shenbei New Area in Liaoning province’s Shenyang city is going to research and develop the first 5D atomic detection equipment in the world, in partnership with China Institute of Atomic Energy.
The news was announced at the Beijing-Shenyang Communication and Cooperation Fair held in Shenyang on Aug 15> The project aims to boost resources, market, talents and further cooperation between the two cities.
The 5D atomic detection imaging technology is currently still in research phase worldwide.
The goal that Shenbei New Area has set is to produce the first 5D atomic detection equipment in the world in under two years, which is expected to be widely used in sectors such as military, medical treatment, as well as surveying and mapping.
A 5D medical image detection center will also be established to make up for the defects existing in the common CT and X-ray detection. Once put into service, it will be the first of its kind in Northeast China.
Jointly invested by China Institute of Atomic Energy and Liaoning Weixun Technology Co, the center is anticipated to be completed in three years.
