Faku county in Shenyang, Liaoning province will host its Sixth AOPA (Aircraft Owner and Pilot Association) International Fly-in from Aug 18- 20 at the county’s Caihu Airport, according to a press conference held by the activity organizing committee on July 28.
The fly-in will further promote the Caihu air travel brands of Faku County and push the development of Shenyang's aviation industry, as well as related industries like sports, culture and travel.
With a theme of “the future of aviation”, many internationally-famous aerobatics teams will be invited to the event, including Fire Dragon Airshows from Belgium and the Storm Airshows from New Zealand, to perform formation flying and other exciting aerobatics with at least five jets. There will also be parachute and paramotor performances during the event.
More than 130 aviation companies from both China and abroad have confirmed their participation in the exhibition section. Different types of drones, helicopters, aircraft engines, new materials, guided systems and aircraft parts will be on display.
The press conference revealed that over 30 aircraft types manufactured in 10 countries will be exhibited, including from the United States, Germany, Italy, New Zealand, Australia and the Czech Republic.
“This year’s event will add more interactive activities to encourage mass participation,” said Liu Guoying, deputy director of the administration committee of Faku Economic and Development Zone.
The event will include various activities like the dragon boat competition, motorboat stunts and flight experiences.
