The 16th China (Shenyang) International Agricultural Exposition was unveiled at the Shenyang International Exhibition Center on Sept 10, with the aim of promoting agricultural products, new agricultural technologies, and communication.

The China (Shenyang) International Agricultural Exposition, the most influential agricultural exhibition in Northeast China, has been successfully held 15 times since 2000.

The three-day event, which covers an area of 65,000 square meters and has 2500 exhibition stands, has attracted around 1800 businesses from around 30 countries and regions; including Australia, Russia, South Korea, America, Canada, Italy, the Netherlands, along with Hong Kong and Taiwan province. Out of all the businesses attending, Shenyang's accounted for 100.

With the theme of "green and healthy", it is expected that about 300,000 visitors will attend the event for the chance to taste and purchase nearly 10,000 different agricultural products during the event. The exhibited products include organic food, dietary supplements, and wines.

There are also advanced agricultural technologies and machinery on display at the event, such as unmanned aerial vehicles for use in agriculture.

In addition, the event will be introducing the Internet Plus initiative and launching an online agricultural products trading platform on Sept 11, where consumers will be able to purchase the exhibited agricultural products at home, bringing greater convenience to them.
