The Shenyang Huishan Economic & Technological Development Zone was established in 2002, in the Shenbei New Area of Shenyang, with a good location and transport facilities on a 12-square-kilometer site. It got Liaoning provincial government recognition, in 2006, as a province-level economic development zone, and State Council approval, in January 2013, as a national economic and technological development zone.

It has also gained agricultural science and technology innovation and commercialization base designation for Northeast Asia, international science and technology cooperation base, national professional demonstration base for foreign trade upgrades, and China brand-name and high-quality food industry base, thanks in part to its gross regional product of 18.93 billion yuan ($3.08 billion),in 2013, fixed asset investment of 31.85 billion yuan, revenues of 2.9 billion yuan, foreign investment worth $409 million, and exports worth $263 million.

The zone is expected to be an ecological town, an industrial town and a science and technology town, all at the same time to build the best agricultural deep-processing base in China focused at first on dairy, livestock and poultry, grain, oil feed, and fruit and vegetable processing, the seed business and product logistics. Its agricultural logistics industry is nationally known and provides products for the United States, Japan, South Korea, Russia, Southeast Asia, and more than a dozen other countries, with an output value that is almost half of that of Shenyang, making it China’s largest agricultural product deep-processing base.

The zone has more than 200 scientific and technological enterprises that have had at least 20 developments each year, and more than 100 demonstration and promotion bases on more than 66000 hectares of land. It has complete infrastructure for water, power, gas, heating, and sewage treatment to meet the demands of rapid industrial and residential development. It also houses investment and financing services to better serve its existing enterprises. It has financial institutions to finance and guarantee enterprise development, as well as bonding companies and a credit association, and a development and venture capital base to support enterprise development.

Meanwhile it is also careful about the ecology and environment and has created a beautiful environment with green hills, blue sky, green grass, and clear water and an ecologically and environmentally sound brand.

During the second leg of development, we welcome enterprises from China and abroad to join us and invest in green, low-carbon projects with good technical content and added value, such as bio-pharmaceutical , agricultural deep-processing, modern agriculture, and ecological tourism industries.
