NE China opens Wechat account for better services

The transportation bureau in the city of Shenyang, Liaoning province has announced the opening of a Wechat account, on Nov 9, with the idea of better serving customers and taxi drivers alike and to meet the demands of an increasing number of smartphone users.
The city's taxi management office has said that the Wechat account brings clear, easily accessible contents to taxi drivers explaining the latest policies, professional training sessions, jobs, and other services.
At the same time, it provides customers with useful lost-and-found information for any items that might have been left in a taxi, and more on things related to their daily lives, such as shopping, entertainment and accommodations.
This account is said to mark the beginning of a new era of more transparent relations between the government, taxi drivers and customers.
