A news conference for the 2012 China-DPRK Economic, Trade, Cultural and Tourism Expo was held in Shenyang, capital of Liaoning province, on Sept 13. Media at the national, provincial and municipal level attended the conference.

The expo will take place in Dandong from Oct 12 to 16 and will consist of four areas: commodity exhibition, trade business talks, cultural exchange and tourism cooperation. With more than 500 stands, the expo will attract over 500 exhibitors from home and abroad.

The expo is the highest-level exhibition in Dandong. Leaders from the Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Culture, and China Council for the Promotion of International Trade as well as provincial and municipal governments will attend the meeting.
