Dandong Port, the nearest logistics outlet to the sea, has begun service on a fully-automatic ore and coal handling and storage system. The two ore and coal berths have a cargo capacity of 100,000 tons and turnover capacity of over 15 million tons, providing a key resource for inland iron and steel producing bases to transit cargo. In addition, preparations for the construction of super-large ore berths have been under way. The move will create super berths for large steel mills in the eastern part of Northeast China.
