The Wulong Mountain Scenic Area is located in the northern suburb of the city of Dandong, with a land of 56.53 square kilometers, and includes Wulongbei Spa, 25 km to the northwest of Dandong, which has a developed area of 5 square kilometers. Wulong Mountain is a city park with plenty of facilities, and an integration of the natural and cultural landscapes, adding to the beauty of the river city.
Its major cultural items are: Buddha Cave on the cliff's face, one of Wulong Mountain's most important examples of Buddhist architecture; Lingfeng Temple, built in the late Ming Dynasty, destroyed later, and rebuilt in August 1999, on a nearly 8,000-square-meter area, with a majestic scale, and the only temple complex with five interior parts in the Northeast; and the Sunday Stone, one of the main attractions and an important relic of religious activities during the Manchukuo Period.
The main natural items include: the Toad Looking at the Moon, Lotus Peak, Stone Forest, the Buddhist Viewing Table, Gate of Hell, Turtle Rock, and Immortal Cave. These unique shapes will take your breath away.
