Ice plates in Liaodong Bay

Recently, countless different sized circles in the shape of round plates have appeared on the frozen water surface of Liaodong Bay at Jieshi scenic spot in Huludao city, northeast China's Liaoning province.

The diameter of the biggest circle is about 10 meters and that of smallest is about 2 to 3 meters. The cause of this phenomenon is still unknown.
