NE China governor meets with Japan consul

Jiang briefed Ishizuka Hideki,the new Japan consul general, on Jilin's socioeconomic development and strategies for revitalizing its economy.
The governor then told the Japanese visitors, "We're transforming our economic growth pattern and adjusting economic growth, and increasing reforms and opening-up," and expressed a willingness to increase trade with Japan, and cooperation in agricultural products, equipment manufacturing, and new materials.
He also asked the Japanese government at all levels and all companies to visit Jilin and possible set up a business there and promised a sound business environment. In response, the consul general agreed to increase bilateral trade relations and cooperation projects.
