Building a regional financial hub in NE China

At a northeast Asia financial service summit, in the city of Changchun, Jilin province, on Jan 3, the vice-chairman of the city’s CPPCC committee was on hand to explain how the city is trying its best to improve the financial sector to become a regional financial hub by 2020.

Guan Shusen , who is also the head of Changchun's Jingyue High-tech industrial Development Zone, said, "We have involved in 170 financial projects and our aim is to provide a sound financial environment."

Some of the participants gave their ideas on how to reach the financial goal in line the new normal condition of China’s economy as described recently by the Chinese government.

The organizers of the summit were the provincial finance office and the city's financial and securities services office.
