NE China getting in its frozen grapes

The city of Ji'an, Jilin province was harvesting its grapes -- in late December -- simply because it has become a major Chinese supplier of frozen grapes which are left on the vines for several months after the regular harvest.

These grapes are used to make ice wine, with the production limited to northern hemisphere countries like Canada and Germany where the temperatures needed occur with some regularity.
