College student innovation and entrepreneurship contest held in Changchun

The final round of the first China College Student "Internet Plus" Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition took place in the city of Changchun, Jilin province, Oct 19-20, according to chinajilin.com.cn of Oct 21, which explains that it is intended to help students become self-employed in innovative start-ups, and to get investors to provide venture capital for start-ups.

The competition was fierce and had an unmanned helicopter developed by the Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics and a wearable device for shortsighted people developed by Zhejiang University tied for first place, while South China University of Technology's Youmi Mobile Technology Corp took second place and a 3D body scanner from Xidian University took third.

More than 200,000 students with 36,508 entries from 1,878 colleges and universities have participated since the competition began in May, and three hundred teams have fought their way into the final contest. Vice-Premier Liu Yandong attended related activities of the competition.
