Expo facilitates $34.6b in investment projects

The 10th China-Northeast Asia Expo in Changchun, Jilin province, has attracted over 220.1 billion yuan ($34.6 billion) of investment capital in 325 project contracts, the expo organizer said.
On Sept 2, a grand investment project signing ceremony was held for 100 major projects facilitated at the expo with a total registered capital of 108 billion yuan ($17 billion).
Major officials of Jilin, including CPC Jilin Provincial Committee Chief Bayin Chaolu and Governor Jiang Chaoliang, attended the ceremony. The ceremony was chaired by the expo’s executive committee head Chen Weigen.
Since the beginning of this year, Jilin has made great efforts to increase efficiency and effectiveness in investment introduction and launched five major measures in promoting cooperation projects in pillar, strategic, emerging and distinctive sectors of the Northeast China province.
The expo from Sept 1 to 6 features six countries from Northeast Asia and is a significant event to promote cooperation in trade and culture, as well as conversations between those economies.
