More rare wildlife observed in NE China

A recent research from Jilin Forestry Department indicates that wild Siberian tigers and Amur leopards are showing a marked population increase in Changbai Mountains, Jilin province, with 27 wild Siberian tigers and 42 Amur leopards been confirmed, most of which are still in their young ages, according to a report from chinajilin.com, on August 6.
The provincial forestry department started to scan wild Siberian tigers and Amur leopards with far-infrared cameras in 2012, setting 500 such cameras in Changbai Mountains.
