The city of Changchun, capital of Jilin province had a Taiwan commodities fair that opened on July 8, which will run for a week, accompanied by sales promotions across the province to get the mainland more interested in Taiwan.

Host of the event is the provincial commerce department, which has brought in more than 1,000 products and special goods from Taiwan, covering several dozen Taiwan enterprises. The most popular items are the food and drinks, including wine, coffee, tea, other beverages, jerky, organic food, healthy food, vegetarian, fruits, candies, cookies, other bakery goods, sauces and snacks.

The fair has other products and creative works to give local people a look at Taiwan culture, for example porcelain, teapots, toys, glasses, leather goods, kitchenware, wood carvings, and fitness equipment. The creative items could be a good thing for Jilin collectors.
