2015-06-24
The city of Changchun, capital of Jilin province, has opened a new air connection with the city of Vladivostok, Russia, as of June 23, to meet the growing cargo transportation demand created by the new cross-border e-business between China and Russia.
The flight, using an Airbus A319 operated by China Southern Airlines Jilin branch with government subsidies, takes off every Tuesday and Saturday, at 6:10 pm and arrives in Vladivostok at 7:45. The return flight takes off at 8:25 pm and gets back to Changchun at 9:40, for about an hour in the air.
The airline office says that the China-Russia line will also increase cross-border tourism and help Changchun become a Northeast Asia transit center for overseas tours.
