Braving the brisk temperatures and heavy snow, a group of Buddhist warrior monks practice Chinese kung fu on March 2, 2015, at Wanshou Temple in Changchun, Jilin province.

To qualify as a Buddhist warrior, the monks do the exercise for 7 hours every day regardless of the weather throughout the year. They live an extremely simple but disciplined life by getting up at 5 in the morning, going to bed at 9 pm and eating only vegetarian food.
