Four villages have been recognized as Chinese traditional villages in Northeastern China’s Jilin province among the third batch of Chinese Traditional Villages.
Earlier last month, the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Finance jointly released the third list of Chinese Traditional Villages, including Yangcha village, Songling Tun of Baishan city, and Bailong village and Zhen Shuinan village of Tumen city.
"We have been attaching great importance to the protection of historical and cultural villages in Jilin,"said an official with the provincial department of housing and urban-rural development. “Those old traditional villages can be further explored and protected after being added to the national list."
