Putting Jilin in the internatinal spotlight

Jilin province put its winter tourism and film-making industry on display at an international travel expo, on Nov 14, in Shanghai, to give the audience a better understanding of the northeastern province’s uniqueness.
The province used the fair as a platform for its winter attractions,including the beautiful rime scenery, and the famous winter fishing on Chagan Lake for both Chinese and foreign tourists to give them a good chance to get to know all kinds of different tourists attractions.

The province also put the Changchun film industry under the spotlight by introducing its film-making related travel products, and also holding a live film music concert given by artists from Changchun’s Film Orchestra, which have attracted audiences from home and abroad.
"We are developing multiple tourism products, and Jilin’s historical film-making industy is integral to our overall plan," Zhao Xiaojun, director of Jilin Provincial Tourism Bureau said.
"We are aiming to build up our own tourism brand in the forseeable furture." The purpose of the annual expo itself is to publicize China’s booming tourism industry, in Shanghai and Kunming, taking turns at hosting the event, which is regarded as the biggest fair of its kind in Asia.
