The 2014 Northeast Asia International Commodity Fair ended successfully on Sept 9 in the Changchun International Convention and Exhibition Center, Changchun, Jilin province. The fair attracted hundreds of enterprises as well as economy and trade associations from six countries in Northeast Asia, during which the exhibitors took advantage of the high-end platform for negotiation and trade cooperation to seek business opportunities and cooperative partners, creating many benefits.

As an important attempt and beneficial exploration in innovation exhibition development of Jilin province, the success of the fair has maintained the continuity of customer resources of the China - Northeast Asia Exposition, expanded the exhibition market of Jilin province, and at the same time improved the exhibition organization and service level of the Jilin provincial council for the promotion of international trade (Jilin Provincial Bureau of International Expositions), which for the first time tried to bring medical care and health into a professional exhibition hall.

Three sessions of the conference were held to deal with the connection work between upstream and downstream chains of the pharmaceuticals industry. According to the statistics, gross turnover of the three activities was about 1.06 billion yuan ($172.46 million), and the amount of intended purchases reached about 2.53 billion yuan.

Among the enterprises, Jilin Zhengkai Drugstore Chain Co not only signed contracts with over 60 outlets on the spot, but also discussed concrete proposals for local services agencies with cooperative partners from Dehui, Baicheng, Yanji, Siping and Jilin city, as well as cities of Inner Mongolia. The sales volume of corn products of Jilin Tianjing Food Co reached 300,000 yuan within five days during the exhibition, and the amount of intended purchase was about 1 million yuan.

The fair coincided with Mid-Autumn Festival, which provided a good leisure, entertainment and shopping place for Jilin citizens. During the fair, each hall of the Changchun International Convention and Exhibition Center was crowded with people, and the wonderful performances attracted a large audience and won widespread praise.
