Wugong Mountain: grassland heaven

Wugong Mountain National Forest Park is located in Jiangxi province, along the Wuhan-Guangzhou railway line. With mighty mountain peaks, beautiful mountain springs, and thousands of hectares of mountainside grassland 1,600 meters high above sea level, it is a paradise in summer.
The Wugong Mountain International Tent Festival annually held in August and September is also favored by tourists all over the world.
The mountain grassland at Wugong Mountain National Forest Park is incomparable in height and size among all mountains of the same latitude in the world. Tourists can not only enjoy the beautiful mountain scenery but also have a glimpse of the beauty of the vast grassland.
In addition to grassland, the park also features dozens of mountains with unique cliffs and rocks in various shapes. To enjoy the beautiful scenery along the path, tourists can climb the mountain on foot or take the cableway instead.
The park is full of cultural atmosphere with various culture relics, such as the Goldentop Taoism Forest, Neolithic Age Memorial Site, and Yangshan Tombs.
Tips: Transportation: take Wuhan-Guangzhou High-speed rail from Guangzhou to Zhuzhou, and then take a bus to Wugong Mountain.
Accommodation: Wugong Mountain Villa, it is at a height of 1,360 meters and close to many scenic spots.
Food: Fried river fish with green pepper is a must in Wugong Mountain. Some other local specialties, such as rock tripe, mountain organic tea, purple rice, cured meat and fig, are also highly recommended.
