First Dajue Mountain Ecological Tourism Festival kicks off

The first Dajue Mountain Ecological Tourism Festival kicked off at the Dajue Mountain scenic spot, Zixi county, Jiangxi province on July 18, 2012.

Themed "Pure Zixi and healthy travel", the festival will last until May 2013. The ecological tourism festival aims to present rich tourism resources of Zixi, enhance its popularity, enrich people's cultural activities, and promote the development of the tourism industry in Jiangxi province.

Various activities, including an international rafting contest, a mountain bike race, a tourism product display and a photography exhibition will be held during the festival.

Wang Xiaofeng, director of the provincial tourism department, said the Dajue Mountain tourism festival is one of the most important tourism festivals in Jiangxi this year. He hopes it will boost tourism development in Zixi county and contribute to the tourism industry of Jiangxi province.
