Grape Festival in Ji'an

Ji'an county's Hengjiang Grape Base recently welcomed thousands of tourists who visited to pick grapes, taste farmhouse food and appreciate the beautiful countryside.

The 9th Hengjiang Grape Festival kicked off in Ji'an county on July 18, 2012. Various activities will be held during the festival, including a grand concert, a grape contest, grape sightseeing tours, and the first Jizhou kiln culture seminar.

Hengjiang grape is a variety of grape that is produced under special climatic and environmental conditions. It is popular among customers for its taste and attractive appearance. Hengjiang grape has become a characteristic agricultural industry in Ji'an with a planting area of over 2,533 hectares. The output is expected to reach 35,000 tons this year.

By virtue of the brand of Hengjiang Grape, Ji'an county has held the grape festival for nine years. It has led to farmhouse boom in local area. Hengjiang town has now become a rural tourism destination for sightseeing and recreation.
