Nanchang and Ganzhou join hands to promote tourism development

Ganzhou will strengthen its efforts to promote tourism and join hands with Nanchang, capital city of Jiangxi province. They hope to develop the tourist market while increasing competitiveness and economic benefits for both cities. This is according to news from the Nanchang tourism marketing conference on March 11, 2012.
At the conference, Nanchang's country folk customs and rural landscapes were vividly presented with pictures. A series of tourist sites and scenic spots such as the Nanchang Fenghuanggou scenic spot, Anyi ancient town and Meiling scenic area were also introduced.
Ganzhou city boasts abundant tourist resources, having 15 national 4A tourist areas, three national 3A tourist areas, one national scenic spot and one national nature reserve. The city also has eight provincial tourist areas, six provincial nature reserves, eight national forest parks, 10 national cultural protection sites and 54 provincial ones.
With six tourism brands including "red former capital", "cradle of the Hakkas" and, "hometown of orange", Ganzhou enjoys convenient transportation services to Nanchang and has a good cooperative basis for tourism communication between the two cities.
