The opening ceremony for the 6th International Humor Art Week was held at Zhangjiagang's Poly Grand Theater, East China’s Jiangsu province on Oct 31.

Jointly hosted by the Chinese Ballad Singers Association and the China Acrobats Association, this year’s humor art week is themed around "Humor Enriches Life, Laughter Connects the World" to highlight the global appeal of humor and how it can connect humanity.

Performers from across China, the United States, Russia, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Ukraine and Serbia came to Zhangjiagang to present colorful art performances including magic and clown shows as well as cross talk and Suzhou Pingtan.

The International Humor Art Week will last until Nov 3.
