Yangtze River Dramatists Association Symposium was held in Zhangjiagang on Nov 1 to talk about cultural development strategies in the eighth Yangtzer River Drama Festival in 2018.

Yangtze River Drama festival, an important part of Yangtze River Cultural and Art Festival, is sponsored by the Chinese Dramatists Association and other dramatists associations along Yangtze River every two years and the year of 2018 will be the seventh term.

The event plays a vital role in boosting traditional culture, actualizing the integration and sharing of drama culture, and further promoting mutual learning and communication among the provinces along the Yangtze River to make progress together.

Cui Wei, the Secretary General of Chinese Dramatists Association, stated in the symposium that Zhangjiagang, the porty city, has made a great contribution in  protecting traditional drama culture and more creative way is expected in such kind of festival. It is hoped that Zhangjiagang city can be a hub to further inherit and develop drama culture along the region.
