The Xiangshan Plum Festival & Tourism Cultural Festival was unveiled in the city of Zhangjiagang, Jiangsu province on March 5 where more than 100 attendees from travel agencies and media outlets were left deeply impressed by the natural scenery and cultural heritage.

Xiangshan is a scenic spot in Zhangjiagang city featuring several attractions including the Xiangshan historical cultural exhibition hall, cherry blossom garden, plum hill and Xiangshan Garden.

"It is a great place to enjoy plum flowers," said Xia Rongui, an official of Suzhou Tourism Association. "We will make efforts to promote the cooperation between the scenic spot and various travel agencies in Suzhou."

The managing director of Shanghai Tourism Trade Association also expressed his appreciation that the leisure spot features both classic and fashionable attractions, and the two-hour road journey is very convenient as well.

Later that day, Xiangshan Tourism Culture Development Company signed cooperation agreements with more than 50 travel agencies from Shanghai, Suzhou and Nantong to promote local tourism. More travel routes connected to the scenic spot will be developed soon.

This year, visitors can not only enjoy plum flowers in the region, but participate in various themed travel festivals to be held through the whole year, such as the wedding dress show, the mountain marathon competition and the autumn leaf festival.
