Tour of Taihu Lake 2014 concludes fifth stage in Zhangjiagang

The fifth stage of the Tour of Taihu Lake 2014, an international road cycling competition, ended in Shuangshan Island, Zhangjiagang, on Nov 5. The event was part of the 2014 Zhangjiagang Yangtze River Culture and Art Festival.
The cross-province race covered a distance of 1,050 km in Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai with a total prize up to $250,000. Twenty groups of players from 15 countries and regions competed in the event.
The Shuangshan Island part was 129 km long. Boris Shpilevskiy from the Taipei RTS team took first place in the fifth-day event, followed by Clausen Patrick from Denmark's TBW team and Harrif Salleh from Malaysia's TSG team.
Zhangjiagang also held activities including public cycling and lottery sales during the race to entertain the locals.
The race runs from Nov 1 to 9 and will continue to take place in Changzhou on Nov 6.
