Located on the south bank downstream of the Yangtze River, Zhangjiagang is an emerging industrial port city where two economic belts meet. It is a promising and livable city with a total area of 999 square kilometers and a population of 900,000. It is recognized as a national eco-city, environmental protection model city, and the recipient of the UN Habitat Scroll of Honor Award.
