Wuxi's two political sessions, the third session of the 14th Wuxi Municipal committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and the third session of the 16th Wuxi Municipal People's Congress, were held from Jan 21 to 25.
More than 400 CPPCC members from all walks of life participated in the first session to debate the work of the Standing Committee of the CPPCC Wuxi Committee and make suggestions for deliberations.
Over 400 deputies to the Wuxi People's Congress listened to the government report released by the city's mayor Huang Qin and offered positive and thoughtful advice to assist the government in bringing about quality development in the city.
