The 2017 Snooker World Cup will run from July 3-9 in Wuxi, in East China’s Jiangsu province.
Twenty-four teams of two players each are expected to participate in the tournament.
The teams are drawn into four groups of six. The top two teams in each group go through to the quarter-finals. Each match includes singles and doubles frames.
As the host nation, China is represented by two teams- China’s A Team of Ding Junhui and Liang Wenbo and China’s B Team of Zhue Yuelong and Yan Bingtao.
The total prize fund is $800,000 and the final winner could take home a whopping $200,000 in winnings.
This is the second time Wuxi has hosted the World Cup since the competition was revived in 2011, and also in the city, China’s B Team of Zhue Yuelong and Yan Bingtao, grasped the title of the 2015 World Cup.
Other Top competitive snooker players in the competition still include the English pair of Judd Trump and Barry Hawkins, Scotland's 2017 World Snooker Championship finalist John Higgins and Australian star Neil Robertson.
