The logo was designed by Zhang Dalu, a teacher from the Suzhou University Arts School. His team employed concise images and colors to present a simple look.
The logo depicts two shuttlecocks, which represent the two trophies of the Thomas & Uber Cups. The shuttlecocks overlap to form a twin lotus and the shape of angel wings. Colored in green and blue (mountain and water colors), it represents an environmental friendly city and depicts the vitality and enthusiasm of the sports event.
Work on the mascot, anthem and slogan will start in July.
The 2016 Thomas & Uber Cups will be held in Kunshan from May 22 to 29, 2016.
