The multinational car hailing company Uber Technologies Inc. launched a carpooling program in six Chinese cities during the May Day holiday.
The cities included in the plan are all located in the lower reaches of the Yangtze River and include Nanjing and Suzhou in Jiangsu province; Hangzhou and Ningbo in Zhejiang province; Hefei in Anhui province; and the municipality of Shanghai, according to Kunshan Daily.
The program allows visitors to and fro the same tourism sites to share vehicles, to save money and time for parking.
