At the Sept 22 Kunshan (Zhoushi) Automation Industry Cooperation and Communication Conference, which was also the new product announcement conference for Kawasaki robot, a double-wrist positioning robot named "duAro" became a "star".
Newly developed by Japan's Kawasaki, duAro is the world's only double-arm robot in the true sense of the word. Meanwhile, with Kawasaki robot component purchasing center and Kawasaki global marketing center launched into operation, a complete industry chain covering new product release, component procurement, assembly and production and global distribution is rapidly taking shape, making Zhoushi a key hub of the Kawasaki robot on its way to the global market.
Kawasaki Robot (Kunshan) Co settled in the city in 2009. With a total investment of $38 million, its sales turnover was100 million yuan ($15.72 million) last year and is expected to reach 250 million yuan this year.
In recent years, Kawasaki has driven forward the supporting production on the part of its neighboring Taiwan companies and private companies through the introduction of a number of hi-tech companies from Japan, which has given birth to a Japanese robot industry park.
This year the total output value of its supporting manufacturing enterprises will top 6 billion yuan.
