Kunshan launches first festival for micro-bloggers and WeChat users

The first festival for micro-bloggers and WeChat users kicked off in the city of Kunshan, Jiangsu province, on Dec 20.

Sponsored by Kunshan Daily and co-organized by 19 government departments and 12 businesses, the festival lured thousands of micro-bloggers and WeChat users with brilliant performances, interactive activities and various gifts. The festival aimed at enhancing interaction among netizens, government officials and businessmen by encouraging adding WeChat or micro-blog accounts, as well as promoting the development of Kunshan's cyber culture.

The mobile Internet is now embedded in people's daily life. People of all ages are able to become friends with new media platforms, such as WeChat and micro-blogs. They can share locations, pictures and news at any time and any place with mobile phones.
