China's green food industry is enjoying fast development with the growing public awareness of a healthy lifestyle.

During the ninth China Retailers Convention & Exhibition, that took place in Kunshan between May 27 and 31, green agricultural products were highlighted, most of which were from Sichuan. The three-day event attracted a number of exhibitors and buyers across the country.

At the exhibition, visitors were allowed to taste various green agricultural products, including tomatoes and cucumbers. The exhibition also featured organic food, such as purple sweet potatoes, pumpkins and rice.

The most attractive was green fruits, which received a warm welcome by visitors. A company from Pan Zhihua, a city in Sichuan province, displayed its high quality fruits. The company makes use of technology to change the harvest season of fruits and improve quality.

Ma Dan, one of the visitors, said that she had never seen such large loquats and mangos. However, the fruits weren't for sale. They were just for exhibition.

The event provided an effective platform for cooperation and the promotion of high quality agricultural products, according to an agricultural enterprise from Sichuan.
