The 2014 China Retailers Convention & Exhibition officially opened in Kunshan International Convention & Exhibition Center on May 27.

More than 200 retail enterprises displayed ten of thousands of consumer goods over the five-day event.

This year's exhibition highlighted high technology and intelligence. eFuture, a leading provider of software and services to China's rapidly growing retail and consumer goods industries, presented a system of supermarket information, which attracted attention from many professional visitors.

The exhibitors also had high expectations that they would find potential clients, partners and investors during the exhibition. Liu Yi, an exhibitor from Nanjing, brought many Yuhua stones (Rain Flower Pebble) from his company. He expressed gratitude to the exhibition for its offer of business opportunities and excellent services. For the first day of the exhibition, Liu's company got two orders.

Many visitors lined up in front of the booth that displayed various cuisines and snacks from Taiwan. An exhibitor, surnamed Wang, said that their pineapple cakes and nougats were welcomed by visitors, thanks to their insistence on using the best local ingredients to provide authentic Taiwanese food.

Another attraction at the exhibition was Kunshan's local products, represented by Wansan Food. The flagship product of the Wansan Food Co is pork shanks, which follow a secret recipe handed down from generation to generation. The company has established co-operations with over 100 domestic well-known supermarkets. It also has an online shop to offer authentic pork shanks to customers around the country.
