The extension project of Wuxi Sunan Shuofang International Airport passed the completion examination on Dec 30.

Covering an area of 63,430 square meters, the new terminal is two times larger than the old one and will become another landmark of the airport. The lotus-shaped terminal represents good fortune and regional features.

Advanced technologies, including an electric heating snow-melting system, LED lighting facility and green intelligent control system, were applied to the construction of the airport, saving costs and energy.
