CAS technology exhibition comes to Baotou

A technology exhibition hosted by the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) opened in Baotou, Inner Mongolia autonomous region, on Jan 18, to promote children’s interest in science and technology, reports Baotou Evening News.

The exhibition displayed the scientific achievements and remarkable progress made in physics, medicine, energy and environmental science.

Highlights of the exhibition included experience zones which allowed visitors to take part in games and assemble devices that produce DUV (Deep Ultra Violet).

Also, animations, models and videos were displayed at the exhibition to boost students’ interest in science and technology.

Young journalists working for Xinhua were invited to conduct interviews at the opening ceremony of the exhibition.

Founded in 1949, the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) is the most prestigious academic institution of natural science, as well as an advisory body on natural sciences in China.
