The city of Baotou's high-tech industrial base has announced that the first stage of construction work on its infrastructure is finished, and around 20 companies have settled in, covering a 52,165-square-meter area there and with 625 million yuan ($95.9 million) in investment.

Seven of the companies are already in production and work on the second phase, factory construction in an area of 145,000-square-meter is beginning this month and is scheduled for completion by year's end.
