The greenway passes through a variety of natural environments. Those who choose to exercise on the greenway can enjoy fresh air, an array of flow displays, tree shade and aquatic scenery.

The greenway was built with newly-developed colorful permeable concrete. Composed of 0.2 to 0.3 centimeter gravel, the surface is both aesthetically pleasing, comfortable to walk on and environmentally friendly.

It is expected to play an important role in the city’s ‘sponge city’ development. The sponge city initiative is a national campaign that aims to fully harvest rainwater in terms of conservation and its energy potential.

Situated alongside roads, the greenbelt can effectively prevent pollution from automobiles by reducing the number of vehicles on the road; it can also reduce noise and light pollution. Its surface temperature is one to two degrees lower than that of motorways.
