Baotou Center Hospital was founded in 1942, with a fixed-asset investment of 670 million yuan ($105.66 million), an area of 70,000 square kilometers and a construction area of 120,000 sq m. It has 1,500 beds, and treats about 450,000 outpatients and 310,000 inpatients every year.

The hospital has 41 clinical departments, 18 medical and 19 functional departments, and 315 senior and 308 intermediate medical professionals.

It has developed 296 research projects in recent years, 12 of which are noteworthy leading projects. In addition, it is equipped with 268 large and medium-sized medical devices.

It had won more than 240 honors, including designation as a “Top 100 hospital in China” an “Advanced group in national healthcare system” and an experimental base of clinical pharmacy.
