The service industry of Hubei Province achieved an annual growth of added value of 11.1%, which is 0.9% higher than the GDP growth rate of the same period. The whole Province has accelerated its reform and promotion of service industry, vigorously developed modern service industry, realized key break-through in some emerging industries and key fields and promoted all-round and fast development of service industry of the whole province.

At the same time, major projects have made progresses successively and the construction of development vehicles has achieved preliminary results. In key fields of service industry, such as logistics, tourism, culture, banking and etc., a group of key projects have been finished and key enterprises have become relatively concentrated. 78 feature service industry parks (concentration area) and Wuhan-Ezhou-Huangshi, Wuhan-Xiangfan-Shiyan as well as Wuhan-Jingzhou-Yichang logistics industry belts have preliminarily formed; the tourist area of “one river and two mountais”, Red Tourism Bases of Dabie Mountain and Honghu Lake as well as a group of ecological tourist areas have been built; cultural industry parks and zones like the Optics Valley Software Park, Chutian Media Industry Park, Changjiang Publication Technology Parks and etc. have developed fast; regional banking headquarters and banking industry areas in Wuchang District and Jianghan District have accelerated concentration. All of these have improved the development conditions of service industry and become solid foundation for future development of the Province’s service industry.
