Founded in 1931 and considered as a key comprehensive university in Hubei Province, Hubei University now offers on its main campus 56 undergraduate courses, 111 postgraduate courses and 9 doctoral courses, covering arts, history, philosophy, science, engineering, economics, law, management, and education. Now it owns 16,000 undergraduates, 2100 postgraduates and 1000 teachers and scientific researchers.
