CEEC's nuclear power project in Belarus started

At 2:16pm, March 3, the ground-breaking ceremony of the Belarusian nuclear outgoing transmission line & power interconnection project contracted by CEEC was held at the 330kV transformer substation, Maladzyechna, Minsk, Belarus.

Relevant leaders of CEEC, cut the ribbon and unveiled the cornerstone engraved with the information on the project, together with Potupchik, the Energy Minister of Belarus, Cui Qiming, Chinese Ambassador to Belarus, Vodnov, General Manager of Belarus Energy Company and Shajilnick, General Manager of Grodno Energy Company.

At the ceremony, Potupchik pointed out that the project is the major project of the national energy strategy of Belarus and the ministry would try its best to pay close attention to and support the project, meanwhile, he was very confident that CEEC could implement the project smoothly. Cui said that the project is a concessional loan of the Chinese government for Belarus, and the Chinese government would support the government strongly and expected to facilitate more extensive and close cooperation between the 2 governments and people between China and Belarus through implementation of the project.

CEEC promised, as the general contractor of the project, to complete the project as stipulated in the contract, and made contributions for the energy construction of Belarus.
