CGGC-undertaken Cambodian Lower Stung Russei Chrum Hydropower Station begins to impound water

On December 13, CGGC-undertaken Cambodian Lower Stung Russei Chrum Hydropower Station began officially to impound water.

As one of the largest hydropower stations in Cambodia, Lower Stung Russei Chrum Hydropower Station is located at Koh Kong Province of the Kingdom of Cambodia. The dam project consists of upper hydropower station and lower hydropower station. The upper hydropower station dam is a concrete-face rockfill dam with the maximum height of about 124m and installed capacity of 206MW. It was put into operation on schedule in June 2013. The lower hydropower station dam is a roller-compacted concrete gravity dam with the maximum height of 58.5MW and installed capacity of 132MW. The total installed capacity of the upper hydropower station dam and lower hydropower station dam is 338MW.
