Nov 16 witnessed the beginning of impoundment of the Tatay River Hydropower Station, a power project constructed by CGGC in Cambodia. This laid a solid foundation for the first group of units to start power generation in 2014.

Located in MoBang District, Koh Kong Province, Cambodia, the Tatay River Hydropower Station is so far the country’s largest hydropower project ever undertaken by Chinese companies.

With a total installed capacity of 246 megawatts, the station will be equipped with three 82 megawatts Francis turbine generator sets to realize an annual generating capacity of 849 million kilowatt hours.
